Passantrag GK Los Angeles / How to Apply for a Passport in Los AngelesDie persönliche Beantragung eines Europapasses (ePass) ist beim GK Los Angeles nur noch mit Termin möglich. Pässe für Kinder unter 6 Jahren sowie vorläufige Reisepässe (Ausstellung nur im Notfall) können weiterhin per Post beantragt werden, da in diesen Pässen keine Fingerabdrücke gespeichert werden. Pässe, die ohne Fingerabdrücke vor dem 1. November 2007 ausgestellt wurden, behalten die im Pass angegebene Gültigkeitsdauer. So kommen Sie zu Ihrem Termin:Das Generalkonsulat hat die Firma Abtran Ltd. damit beauftragt, Termine für unsere Passkunden zu vergeben. Aus organisatorischen Gründen ist es ab dem 09.11. 2007 nicht mehr möglich, einen Termin direkt über das Generalkonsulat zu vereinbaren. Um einen Termin für eine persönliche Vorsprache
im Generalkonsulat zu vereinbaren, wählen Sie bitte: Servicezeiten (Abtran): Mo-Fr 8:30 Uhr bis 17:30 Uhr (Pacific Standard
Time). Abtran vergibt alle Termine für das Generalkonsulat, kann jedoch keine inhaltlichen Fragen im Zusammenhang mit der Passbeantragung beantworten. Für Fragen im Zusammenhang mit der Passbeantragung lesen Sie bitte hier. Abtran bestätigt Ihnen den Termin per E-mail mit einer Referenznummer, Datum und Uhrzeit. Bitte stellen Sie anhand unserer Webpage sicher, dass Sie zu diesem Termin alle erforderlichen Unterlagen mitbringen, da nur vollständige Anträge bearbeitet werden können. Bitte nutzen Sie die o.g. Pass Beantragung
All passport applications must be submitted in person. You must schedule an appointment. Passports for children under the age of 6 years and temporary passports (issued only in case of an emergency) can still be applied for by mail (fingerprints are not required for these passports). Please note: Passports issued before November 1, 2007 are valid until their date of expiration. If your passport is still valid, it is not neccessary to apply for a new passport! How to Schedule an Appointment: All appointments are exclusively handled by Abtran Ltd. This enables the staff of the passport section to concentrate exclusively on processing passport applications as quickly as possible. Please do not call the Consulate to make an appointment.
